Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Pro IPTV Player (also referred to as "Pro IPTV") and its operator ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, discloses, and otherwise processes information when you use the Pro IPTV Player app on supported platforms, including iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Android mobile devices, Android TV, Windows, and macOS.
Contact email: support.proiptvplayer@gmail.com
Pro IPTV Player is a media player only. It is designed to allow users to access and play content from their own user-provided sources, including M3U / M3U8 playlists, Xtream Codes accounts, Stalker / Ministra portals, XMLTV EPG sources, and direct stream URLs. Pro IPTV Player does not provide, host, create, sell, resell, distribute, endorse, or supply any channels, playlists, subscriptions, servers, portals, or media content.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any content source, stream, playlist, account, portal, server, metadata, or media accessed through the app is lawful and that you have all necessary rights and permissions to use it.
1. Who we are
App name: Pro IPTV Player
2. Scope of this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Pro IPTV Player app and related functionality made available by us on supported mobile, TV, tablet, and desktop platforms.
This Privacy Policy also applies to information processed through third-party software development kits ("SDKs"), libraries, operating-system frameworks, and service providers integrated into the app on one or more supported platforms.
Some data practices, features, third-party services, permissions, and disclosures may vary depending on the platform, app version, region, or build.
3. Nature of the app
Pro IPTV Player is a pure media player for user-provided sources.
The app supports features such as playback, source management, live TV browsing, movies, series, episodes, favorites, recent items, watch progress, source health, local caching, search, EPG support, and related playback and catalog functionality. These features exist only to help you access and organize media from the sources you choose to add.
Pro IPTV Player does not include any built-in channels or bundled subscriptions. Pro IPTV Player does not operate as a content provider.
The app does not include any content discovery features, provider directories, recommended sources, trending portals, shared playlists, or featured content services. Users supply their own sources independently.
4. No account with us and no cloud account operated by us
Pro IPTV Player does not require account registration with us.
We do not provide or operate our own user account system, cloud account, cloud sync system, or cloud backup platform for your playlists, credentials, favorites, recents, watch history, custom playlists, EPG data, or settings.
We do not maintain our own backend for storing your personal media-source data.
5. Information stored locally on your device
To provide the app's functionality, Pro IPTV Player stores information locally on your device. Depending on the platform and the features you use, this may include:
- playlist and source URLs
- Xtream account details
- Stalker / Ministra portal details, including MAC-based connection details
- direct stream URLs
- XMLTV EPG URLs
- saved provider accounts
- local user profiles
- favorites
- recent items and last played content
- watch progress and playback position
- app settings and preferences
- provider display names
- source status and health information
- custom playlists
- cached catalog data
- cached EPG data
- dashboard snapshots and latest-played content history
- metadata, thumbnails, posters, logos, and related content information retrieved from your chosen source providers
We do not store this information on our own remote servers.
6. Credential and local storage security
The app stores certain sensitive connection details locally in order to provide login, reconnection, playback continuity, and source management functionality.
Depending on the platform, credential storage is protected as follows:
- Android mobile and Android TV: credentials are stored using encrypted local storage mechanisms, including encrypted preferences backed by Android security components
- Windows: protected local storage is used through Windows data protection mechanisms
- Apple platforms (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, macOS): sensitive credentials are stored using Keychain, while other app data is stored locally on-device through platform storage mechanisms and app-local databases
Although we use reasonable measures to protect locally stored information, no device, storage mechanism, or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for securing your device and for protecting any usernames, passwords, MAC details, URLs, playlists, portals, server addresses, or other access credentials that you choose to store in the app.
7. Information processed when you connect your own content sources
When you add and use your own IPTV or media sources in Pro IPTV Player, the app sends the technical requests necessary to communicate with those sources and provide playback and browsing features.
This may include requests to:
- playlist URLs
- Xtream Codes servers
- Stalker / Ministra portals
- XMLTV EPG sources
- direct stream URLs
- related provider-hosted metadata, logos, posters, thumbnails, and media assets
As part of ordinary internet communications, those third-party services may receive information such as:
- your IP address
- device and app request information
- source credentials or authentication details you entered for that provider
- stream requests
- playback-related requests
- metadata and catalog requests
- EPG requests
We do not control the privacy practices of those third-party providers. Your use of any playlist, portal, IPTV provider, stream server, or metadata source is subject to that provider's own terms, policies, and practices.
8. No own backend and no transmission to our own servers
We do not operate our own dynamic backend server for the app.
In particular, we do not run our own server for:
- user accounts
- playlist storage
- credential storage
- source validation proxying
- remote diagnostics
- feature flags
- support-ticket handling
- cloud sync
- cloud backup
- app update checks
- push notifications
The app does fetch a static advertising configuration file hosted on a third-party static hosting service (currently Firebase Hosting). This file contains only advertising-related parameters such as ad-unit identifiers, ad-tag URLs, ad-timing settings, and enable/disable flags. It does not contain or receive any user data, credentials, playlists, device identifiers, or personal information. No user-specific data is sent as part of this request beyond ordinary HTTP request metadata (such as IP address and user-agent string).
The information you enter into the app is either:
- stored locally on your device
- sent directly to the third-party source provider you choose to connect to
- processed by enabled third-party SDK providers such as advertising or consent-management providers, where applicable
We do not send playlist URLs, Xtream credentials, Stalker credentials, direct stream URLs, favorites, recent items, watch progress, source health, EPG URLs, or in-app search queries to our own servers.
9. Third-party SDKs and technologies
Depending on the platform and build, Pro IPTV Player may use third-party SDKs, libraries, and frameworks such as:
- Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) for interstitial advertising on supported iPhone and iPad builds
- Google Interactive Media Ads (IMA) for video pre-roll and post-roll advertising on supported Apple TV and Android TV builds
- Google IMA HTML5 SDK (via WebView2) for VAST video advertising on supported Windows builds
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) for privacy and consent management related to advertising on supported iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile builds
- Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT) for tracking authorization prompts on supported Apple TV and iPhone/iPad builds
- VLCKit / VLC-based playback components for media playback on supported Apple platforms
- Media3 ExoPlayer for media playback on supported Android platforms
- OkHttp for network communication on Android platforms
- Coil for image loading on Android platforms
- AndroidX Media Router for cast and media route discovery on supported Android platforms
- Google Cast SDK for Chromecast route discovery and playback control on supported iPhone and iPad builds
- Android security libraries for encrypted local credential storage
- Microsoft WebView2 for rendering VAST video ads on supported Windows builds
- Firebase Hosting as a static file host for remote advertising configuration delivery
- SKAdNetwork on iOS for privacy-compliant ad attribution
Third-party software notices are available at Third-Party Notices.
These technologies may process limited technical information necessary for their functions, subject to their own privacy practices and platform behavior.
10. Advertising
Pro IPTV Player displays advertising on multiple platforms. The advertising format, technology, and availability vary by platform, build, and configuration.
At the time of this Privacy Policy:
- iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile: ads are shown as Google AdMob interstitial ads, consent-gated where required through Google UMP
- Apple TV (tvOS): ads are shown as Google IMA video pre-roll ads before stream playback, gated by App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization
- Android TV: ads are shown as Google IMA video ads (post-roll) after stream playback
- Windows: ads are shown as VAST video ads rendered through a WebView2-based ad player after stream playback
- macOS: advertising infrastructure is present but ads are not currently displayed in released builds at the time of this Privacy Policy
- ads are currently configured as non-personalized where applicable
- ad display is subject to region, consent status, app configuration, remote advertising configuration, and platform support
The app fetches advertising configuration parameters from a static remote endpoint hosted on a third-party hosting service to determine ad behavior, timing, and ad-unit identifiers. This request does not transmit user data beyond ordinary HTTP request metadata.
Advertising-related providers may process certain technical information, such as device information, app information, network information, consent signals, and limited identifiers, for purposes such as:
- requesting and delivering ads
- limiting ad frequency
- measuring ad delivery and performance
- preventing fraud and abuse
- maintaining security
- complying with legal obligations
- managing privacy choices and consent signals
Even where non-personalized ads are used, certain technical data may still be processed for operational, security, measurement, or consent-management purposes.
Advertising configuration, formats, providers, and behavior may change between app versions or builds. If advertising practices change, we will update this Privacy Policy and relevant app store disclosures accordingly.
11. Consent and privacy choices
Where required by applicable law, Pro IPTV Player may show privacy notices or consent messages and provide choices relating to advertising and privacy.
On supported iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile builds, privacy choices may be managed through an in-app Privacy Choices or Manage Privacy option when such option is required or made available by the consent platform.
Consent and privacy options may vary depending on:
- your country or region
- device platform
- app version
- legal requirements
- SDK and consent-framework behavior
You may also have additional privacy controls available through your device or platform settings.
12. Tracking
On supported Apple platforms, Pro IPTV Player uses Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework to request your authorization before any tracking-related processing occurs.
At the time of this Privacy Policy:
- on Apple TV (tvOS), ATT authorization is requested at app launch to determine whether personalized or non-personalized ad requests should be made through the Google IMA SDK
- on iPhone and iPad (iOS), ATT authorization is resolved through the consent management flow where advertising is enabled
- if you deny tracking authorization, the app falls back to non-tracking, non-personalized ad behavior
Where advertising technologies are enabled, certain advertising-related processing and attribution functions may still occur within the limits of the applicable platform, SDK configuration, legal requirements, and user consent choices.
13. Analytics and crash reporting
At the time of this Privacy Policy, Pro IPTV Player does not include a separate analytics SDK or crash reporting SDK for app usage analytics, behavioral profiling, or remote crash reporting by us.
We do not currently use third-party analytics or crash-reporting services such as Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Sentry, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar services in the released codebase described to us.
Debug logs and diagnostic messages generated locally on the device are not transmitted to our own servers by us.
14. External metadata, logos, posters, and guide data
The app may retrieve and display metadata and media-related assets from the third-party sources you choose to connect.
Depending on the source, this may include:
- channel names
- channel logos
- movie or series posters
- thumbnails
- programme guide data
- titles
- descriptions
- categories
- genres
- cast or director information
- source-specific metadata fields
- EPG scheduling information
This information is obtained from your selected source provider or source URLs, not from a centralized metadata service operated by us.
We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, availability, or privacy practices of such third-party metadata sources.
15. Search, source health, caching, and playback continuity
To provide app functionality, Pro IPTV Player may process and store locally information relating to:
- content search across added sources
- source health and status states
- sync status
- parsing results
- partial sync conditions
- watch progress
- playback continuity
- recent playback history
- cached catalogs and EPG data
- favorites and custom playlists
This processing occurs locally on your device and is used only to provide the app's playback, browsing, and reliability features.
16. Data sharing
We may disclose or make information available only in the following limited circumstances:
- to third-party service providers, SDK vendors, or technology partners whose components are enabled in the relevant build of the app
- to advertising or consent-management providers where those features are enabled
- to third-party content, playlist, portal, metadata, EPG, or streaming providers that you choose to access through the app
- where required by law, court order, legal process, or regulatory request
- where reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, users, the public, or the integrity of the app
- in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, asset sale, or similar business transaction, should such an event occur
We do not sell your personal information for money in the ordinary sense of that term.
17. Data retention
Because most app data is stored locally on your device and not on our own servers, that data generally remains on your device until you remove it, clear app data, delete a source, delete your local profile, or uninstall the app.
Retention periods may therefore depend on:
- your device
- your operating system
- your uninstall behavior
- local storage state
- provider refresh activity
- cached data lifecycle inside the app
If you uninstall the app, locally stored app data is generally removed from the device by the operating system, although some data may remain in device backups, system backups, or platform-managed storage, depending on the platform and its backup behavior.
We do not retain this locally stored app data on our own servers after uninstall because we do not store that data on our own servers in the first place.
Retention of information processed by third-party providers is governed by their own systems and policies.
18. Backup and restore
Pro IPTV Player does not provide its own cloud sync, cloud backup, export, import, or sharing system for playlists, settings, or account data.
At the time of this Privacy Policy:
- Android cloud backup and device-transfer backup are disabled
- iCloud sync is not implemented by us
- local export/import functionality is not implemented by us
- some platform-managed backup behavior may still occur on certain operating systems outside our control, such as standard system backups of local app data where the platform allows it
You are responsible for understanding your device's own backup settings and platform behavior.
19. Device permissions and network behavior
Depending on the platform and the features you use, the app may require or rely on technical capabilities such as:
- internet and network access
- media playback
- background audio on supported Apple platforms
- media route / cast discovery on supported Android platforms
- AirPlay route discovery on supported Apple platforms
- App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization on supported Apple platforms for advertising-related purposes
- cleartext HTTP communication on Android where required for compatibility with user-provided IPTV servers that use non-HTTPS endpoints
The app does not currently request permissions such as:
- camera
- microphone
- location
- photos library
- notifications
- contacts
On supported iPhone and iPad builds with Chromecast support enabled, iOS may display a local network permission prompt for cast device discovery.
If future versions add new permissions or device capabilities, we may update this Privacy Policy accordingly.
20. Children's privacy
Pro IPTV Player is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through our own backend systems because we do not operate a user account backend for the app.
If you believe a child has provided personal information in connection with the app or through a third-party source used in the app, contact us and we will review the matter as appropriate.
21. International data transfers
Third-party providers used by the app, including advertising, consent-management, source-provider, metadata-provider, and streaming-provider services, may process information in countries other than your own.
Where such processing occurs, those third parties are responsible for their own compliance with applicable laws relating to international data transfers.
22. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights under applicable privacy and data protection laws, including rights to:
- request access to personal information
- request correction
- request deletion
- request restriction of processing
- object to certain processing
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Because much of the information processed through Pro IPTV Player is stored locally on your own device and not on our servers, you can often access, modify, or delete that information directly in the app or by removing local app data or uninstalling the app.
If you contact us regarding a privacy request, we may only be able to address data actually controlled by us. If your request relates to a third-party SDK provider, advertising provider, playlist provider, portal operator, IPTV service, EPG source, or streaming provider, you may need to contact that third party directly.
For privacy questions or requests, contact: support.proiptvplayer@gmail.com
23. Third-party services
Pro IPTV Player may interact with third-party services and technologies, including but not limited to:
- playlist providers
- IPTV providers
- Xtream Codes servers
- Stalker / Ministra portals
- XMLTV EPG sources
- stream hosts
- metadata and image hosts linked by your provider
- advertising providers
- consent-management providers
- playback and networking libraries
- platform-level operating-system services
We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, legality, security, or availability of third-party services that are not under our control.
24. Lawful use and content disclaimer
Pro IPTV Player does not include, provide, host, create, sell, resell, distribute, or promote channels, subscriptions, playlists, portals, or media content.
The app is intended solely as a technical player for sources supplied by the user.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that:
- you use only lawful and authorized content sources
- you have the necessary rights or permission to access and play the content
- your use of playlists, portals, accounts, servers, credentials, streams, metadata, logos, guide data, and related media complies with applicable law and contractual restrictions
Use of unauthorized or unlawful sources is not endorsed by us.
25. Platform-specific disclosures
Some privacy practices, features, third-party SDKs, storage behavior, permissions, and disclosures differ by platform.
In particular:
- iPhone, iPad, and Android mobile: Google AdMob interstitial ads are displayed, with consent management through Google UMP
- Apple TV (tvOS): Google IMA video pre-roll ads are displayed, gated by App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
- Android TV: Google IMA video post-roll ads are displayed
- Windows: VAST video post-playback ads are displayed via WebView2
- macOS: advertising infrastructure is present but ads are not currently displayed in released builds
- playback technologies and local storage methods may differ by platform
- backup behavior may vary by operating system
- legal disclosures required by app stores or platform operators may apply in addition to this Privacy Policy
Where a platform operator, app store, or law requires additional notices, permissions, consent flows, or privacy labels, those additional disclosures apply alongside this Privacy Policy.
26. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in:
- app functionality
- supported platforms
- third-party SDKs
- legal requirements
- privacy practices
- advertising configuration
- data handling behavior
When we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the effective date above.
Your continued use of the app after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated Privacy Policy will apply to the extent permitted by law.
